Typical products - The Arezzo area boasts a DOCG Chianti Colli Aretini and three DOC with red, rosé, white and vin santo: Cortona, Val di Chiana and Val d'Arno di Sopra (the youngest recognized in 2011). The main grape varieties grown in the area are: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Malvasia Nera, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot (with regard to the black grapes), while Trebbiano, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Grechetto (regarding those white grape).
